“Within weeks, the lady returned to her happy original self.”
A lady who was generally cheerful, socialising, and enjoying her food, had become withdrawn, anti-social, depressed, loss of self-esteem, refusing her meals, losing weight, and refusing to wear her dentures. Further investigation revealed that she was suffering from a ‘dry mouth’, this being the soul cause of her problems. Her condition was addressed and treated appropriately. Within weeks, the lady returned to her happy original self.

“Somebody else’s dentures.”
During a stay in hospital, a lady was given a set of dentures to wear.
She became very distressed.She struggled to communicate as she could not talk properley and was unable to eat, and had a very sore mouth.
A vistor attended to her. She had been given some body elses dentures to wear. Her’s had been lost.
They were unnamed.

A family member requested to be with her mother during end of life care, but was distraught at noct knowing how or what she could do. Following instructions and reassurance on administering the correct procedures, she became more confident and was so pleased she was able to take some control and make an amazing difference.

a lady presented with bleeding gums, a sore mouth, and some cold sensitivity. She had been advised in in a shop to buy a very expensive electric tooth brush, and to use a mouth wash three times a day permantly, she was told she would never need to floss again.
Assessment and corrected personal appropriate oral health care advice was given, and the reversable gum disease managed to a healthy sate, sore mouth healed, cold sensativity resolved. Most importanly, the lady was happy in being more knowlegable of her personal prl health.
